Friends of the Garden
An eclectic group of professionals, specializing in mainline media planning, interactive media, media research, placement and stewardship, public service media, vendor relations and both qualitative and quantitative consumer research. These specialists are key on-going contributors on many IG projects.
Brian Lowry

With a decade of administrative experience in higher education, he served as Director of Marketing and Director of Public Relations for Calumet College of St. Joseph. Brian served as the Director of Community Development for the City of Whiting on the staff of Mayor Joe Stahura. As part of the Insight Garden team, Brian has provided qualitative insight and quantitative targeting research for national clients including Quill.com, Invesco PowerShares, and Bibby Financial Services. He has also played a key role in the execution process for Insight Garden media buys, negotiating multiple broadcast, print and digital buys. He is also very conversant in building the wealth of data that comes from plans and performance and developing summary and dashboard reporting. Brian also serves as an adjunct faculty member of Calumet College of St. Joseph and teaches communications courses for Ivy Tech Community College.
Aline Zorich
Aline is not only a Friend of the Garden, but a superhero as well. With four kids now in school, Aline has found a great way to put her prior years of HR expertise to work for the powers of good. After the last school drop off, Aline dons her cape and frequently adds impact for Insight Garden clients, negotiating many of IG’s broadcast and print buys. Aline has become a very skillful buyer over the years, showing that the ability of a seasoned HR pro translates well into creating solid relationships with the sales community. She has purchased markets from Chicago to Orlando to Cleveland and many others in-between, playing a key contributing role to the executions for Quill.com and multiple other IG clients.
Deanne Shimala
While the strategic insights may get the lion’s share of attention and kudos, there are always devils in the details and even well executed plans can cause tribulation if not stewarded appropriately. Deanne is a seasoned accountant, with years of financial officer experience under her belt. Amid her on-going contributions to local community organizations in the Whiting area, Deanne also teaches a number of finance and accounting courses at Calumet College of St. Joseph. But in-between, Deanne is a key contributor on behalf of Insight Garden, stewarding many client media executions, interfacing with agency accounting teams and helping reconcile the hundreds of invoices inherent in large buys.
Sue Ward
Proving that long distance relationships can indeed thrive, Sue Ward lends a hand to a very important area of need for Insight Garden. Sue has been a national television buyer for many years and currently works independently out of the Minneapolis area. Serving a number of clients, Sue pitches in at need when an Insight Garden client requires leverage in the national television marketplace. Sue has not only provided timely, competitive rates for small projects, but also has provided IG on-going support for large scope national buys as evidenced by her partnership on the PowerShares client, negotiating, purchasing and stewarding multi-million dollar cable buys for IG over multiple years. |
